Power of Words
SFK Level 2: Be the Artist of Your Life
Each child is given one paper heart and is instructed to rip it into as many pieces as possible. Once the children are done, they are told to put it together perfectly. Of course, this is impossible-the paper heart will never hold the same exact shape or form. The lesson? Words have power. When we hurt others with our words, the relationship may never be exactly the same.
“One time my friend hurt my feelings. Even though he apologized, I sometimes still feel sad. So, I know not to say hurtful words because I would not be able to take them back.
