We might think that we are giving our children “everything” they need but missed on the quality of our relationship with them. Feeling heard, seen, accepted, and loved are every human’s basic needs and the foundation for emotional and physical well-being.
When you pause at the end of the day to check on your To-Do list, also check-in with yourself: how was the day? What did I notice new about my child? Where could I have been more sensitive? How can I give more positive feedback? What do I need to do for myself to have more patience and energy?
Please don’t do that with judgment but with compassion and excitement for the new day where you can show up with more awareness.
