1. Introduction

Spirituality for Kids International, Inc. (“SFK,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is a California nonprofit public benefit corporation committed to protecting personal information with transparency, integrity, and care. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, process, disclose, and safeguard personal information in connection with our websites, educational programs, curriculum, certification training, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). This Policy is designed to comply with applicable laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (“CCPA/CPRA”), the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”), and, where applicable, the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (“FERPA”), as well as recognized international privacy principles. 2. Scope of Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to personal information collected through SFK-operated websites and digital platforms, communications such as email, SMS, forms, and support inquiries, participation in SFK programs and certification training, and interactions with schools, districts, and organizational partners. This Policy does not apply to third-party platforms, websites, or services not controlled by SFK, nor to data collected independently by institutions outside of SFK systems.

3. Eligibility and Intended Audience

SFK provides its Services to adults, including parents, educators, schools, and organizations. Our Services are intended for individuals eighteen (18) years of age or older. SFK does not sell products or services directly to children. Children may participate in SFK programs only through a parent, legal guardian, school, or authorized institution.

4. Children’s Privacy

SFK does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under the age of thirteen (13) without appropriate authorization, in accordance with COPPA. When programs are delivered through schools or institutions, SFK relies on those institutions to obtain any required parental consent. If we become aware that personal information from a child has been collected without proper authorization, we will promptly delete such information. 5.1 Personal Information

We may collect personal information such as name, email address, phone number, mailing address, account credentials, payment-related information processed through secure third-party providers, organizational affiliation, and communications submitted to us.

5.2 Technical and Usage Information

We may automatically collect information such as IP address, general location, device type, browser type, operating system, and interactions with our website or Services.

5.3 User-Provided Content

We may collect content voluntarily provided by users, including survey responses, feedback, program participation data, and communications with SFK personnel.

5.4 Education and Student Data (Institutional Context)

When our Services are delivered through schools or institutional partners, we may process limited student-related information such as a first name or identifier, grade level or age range, and participation or progress within the program. We do not intentionally collect sensitive student data, such as Social Security numbers, health records, or biometric identifiers, unless explicitly required and authorized by the institution.

8. How We Use Information

We use personal information to provide and operate our Services, deliver educational programs and certification training, process transactions and donations, communicate with users, improve our curriculum and content, ensure platform security, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations. 9. Role of SFK: Data Controller and Service Provider

SFK acts as a data controller when collecting personal information directly from individuals and determining how and why that information is processed. When providing Services to schools or institutions, SFK acts as a service provider (or processor), and the institution acts as the data controller. In this role, SFK processes data only as instructed by the institution and does not use student data for independent or commercial purposes.

10. Educational and FERPA Compliance

When working with schools and educational institutions, SFK may operate as a “school official” with a legitimate educational interest under FERPA, where applicable. SFK uses student data only for authorized educational purposes, maintains confidentiality, implements appropriate safeguards, and supports institutions in meeting their legal obligations.

11. How We Share Information

We may share personal information with trusted service providers supporting our operations, with schools or institutional partners for program delivery, and when required by law or legal process. We may also disclose information to protect the rights, safety, or property of SFK or others, or in connection with organizational restructuring. SFK does not sell personal information. Aggregated or de-identified data may be used for research and program improvement.

12. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including access controls, secure storage, and vendor oversight. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Student data is retained and deleted in accordance with institutional agreements and applicable law.

14. Your Privacy Rights

15. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

SFK enters into agreements with schools and organizations that govern data protection, confidentiality, and the appropriate use of information. We support our institutional partners in meeting their compliance obligations under applicable student privacy laws.
