Being versus Doing

Being versus Doing

It is not how much you do that brings out your value; it is your ability to stay connected to yourself that makes your doing valuable.

We too often judge ourselves and our children based on our “doing.”

And we measure our value and progress by how much we manage to do.

Of course, what we do is important, but when we shift the focus from doing to being, we become much more efficient with our energy and rooted in our sense of self and value.

It is not how much you do that brings out your value; it is your ability to stay connected to yourself that makes your doing valuable.

When you are present, you are more insightful, clear, and peaceful, and that’s where your value resides.

Imagine how different your relationship with your children will be from that place. It will shift the energy in your home from stress, the feeling of not having enough time, policing, and managing conflicts to a calmer and more flowing one.

That’s how we can help our children and ourselves stay connected and centered without getting distracted from the outside pressure and noise.
