SFK in Arabic in schools in Israel

The children of the Arab population in East Jerusalem face daily difficulties arising from political and socio-economic chaos. Lack of staff and resources make it challenging to address their needs, and internal and surrounding violence compound emotional and social distress.

These conditions lead to obstacles common to conflict-ridden areas, such as strong feelings of anger, victimhood, confusion, and helplessness.

SFK in East Jerusalem

Since 2008, SFK has worked in East Jerusalem with local schools and teachers to be part of the solution instead of the problem by training and providing materials for teaching Level One and two curriculums to grades 3-6. As a result, we’ve helped thousands of children gain the skills to manage their difficult emotions, recognize the Light in themselves and others, realize how we are all connected, and learn to make an effort and better choices.

Thanks to our donors we are currently in 6 schools, teaching over 1,200 children.
