Are you taking things personally?

To truly feel and support our children, we need to take off our filter and put on theirs.

Naturally, we do not see things as they are; we see things as we are. Therefore, it requires great awareness to see a situation from our child’s point of view.

Questions to ask ourselves before reacting or advising:

🔸 What is my child’s fear?

🔸 What does my child need?

🔸 How can I empower my child?

We are not always going to get it right, but making an effort to put ourselves in our children’s shoes will make them feel more understood, and we will be able to observe and support instead of projecting and taking things personally.

What do you struggle with most as a parent? Let us know! Maybe we can help. 😉
